Spooky Drinks 101: These Drinks Give Halloween Vibes

Making cocktails is a fun way to spice up your weekends. However, taking spooky shots during Halloween hits different. There are several types of cocktails that you can make and blend into the spookiness of the season. Even better, making these Halloween drinks is easier than finding the perfect costume. Here are five cocktails you can make at home to set the Halloween vibe.

Halloween Sangria

While you could serve a bottle of wine at your next Halloween party, you could take things up a notch and serve sangria instead. Transforming your wine into this alcoholic punch not only serves more people but also allows you to make it more festive.

This drink is spookier than your average sangria. With blood oranges, pomegranate seeds, and blackberries, you’ll create a Halloween-approved brew. You could also incorporate some adorable ghost-shaped apple slices.

Color-changing margaritas

The name might make you expect some complicated recipe, but this margarita is the opposite of that. First, the main ingredient is cabbage. Pouring hot water over cabbage and leaving it for 5 minutes will produce a deep blue liquid.

Freeze the cabbage water in ice trays before dropping in a mixture of lime juice, tequila with triple sec., and lemonade. The pink drink contrasts the cubes’ purplish color, creating a delicacy of multicolor.

Apple Cider Spritz

Stepping right into fall with spiced cider and a kiss of pumpkin spice, what could go wrong? Using Aperol’s orange herbal brings out the best in the cider flavors. What better time to try it than the Halloween season?

To make enough for a large group, make a pitcher of the cider, Aperol, and pumpkin spice mix. Then, just pour the mixture into glasses with ice, a garnish, and Prosecco for a cocktail as crisp and bright as the best fall day.

Pumpkin Juice

Pumpkin and Halloween just go hand in hand. But have you tried making a spooky drink out of the fruit of the season? You can make this spooky juice with apple cider, apricot reserves, pumpkin pie spice, a can of pumpkin puree, and pure vanilla extract.

Blend cider, pumpkin puree, preserves, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla until smooth and slightly foamy for about 30 seconds. Then pour into ice-filled glasses and serve- it’s time to have a Halloween-themed drink.

Last Word Cocktail

Speaking of easy-to-make Halloween drinks, this cocktail takes the hat. Aside from being simple, it tastes as good as it looks. First, you should fill a shaker with ice. Then add lime juice, gin, chartreuse, and maraschino liqueur.

Cover the mixture and shake well until the outside of your shaker is very frosty( that’ll be about 30 seconds). Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Take things up a notch by garnishing with cherries and a lime wheel- you’ll be glad you did.
