No One Can Possibly Forget About These Iconic McDonald’s Happy Meal Toys

It doesn’t matter in which part of the world you grew up—going to a McDonald’s was probably a big part of your childhood. Those trips to the famous fast-food chain restaurants were magical, but the fun trinkets you got to take home after having a tasty cheeseburger with crispy fries were the best part. Let’s go on a trip down memory lane and bring back the most iconic McDonald’s Happy Meal toys in history. Grab your tissues if you’re prone to feeling nostalgic!

Cute or disturbing?

In the fall of 1998, Hasbro brought something new to the toy scene that revolutionized kid entertainment forever. It was a colorful, Mogwai-esque, nonsense-gabbling creature that every child would do anything to have. Can you guess which toy we’re talking about?

If your answer was “Furbies,” then you’re right! Given the success of these weird-looking toys, McDonald’s introduced tiny plastic versions of them as Happy Meal trinkets in 1998. Their ears, eyes, toes, and beaks would move if you pressed a button on their backs. How adorable!
